Who Is In Your Ag Ed Family Tree???

The Illinois STAR (State Teach Ag Results) Committee would like to help each Illinois agriculture teacher display their “Ag Ed Family Tree” in their classrooms!  We began this project last year and handed out 178 trees!

Teachers who received a tree last year and have had student teachers or former students become teacher this year will automatically receive an updated tree (no need to fill out the form again).  All new teachers will also receive a tree.

If you received a tree, but someone was left off or a correction needs to be made, please feel free to use the Google Form to get a new one.  There is a question that asks if it is a reprint, you then only need to add the names of the missing people or any corrected names.  You can also email me with changes.

Anyone that didn't receive a tree last year, can opt into receiving one by completing this quick Google Form.  You will receive a framed Ag Ed Family Tree to hang in your classroom and challenge your students to be the next leaf on your Ag Ed Family Tree.  The form will ask you to share:

  • The teachers/institutions that led to you becoming a teacher (your roots)
  • The high school students that came through your programs and pursued agriculture education (the leaves)
  • The student teachers that have come through your program (the leaves)

All information is reported by you, so whoever you choose to claim will appear in your tree.  We will be presenting the second crop of Ag Ed Family Trees at IAVAT Conference and displaying some at State Convention!  If there are any questions please let me know.
