CONVENTION TIP of the DAY for Wednesday, June 5, 2019 - Retiring Addresses and Goodbye Grams

Retiring Addresses

Make sure to be in session for the Major State Officers’ Retiring Addresses! Each of the Majors will share what’s on their hearts for Illinois FFA to hear as they retire from their year of service.

  • Kicking off the Convention will be State Secretary, Miriam Hoffman, with her retiring address “Love Big” in the 1st General Session on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 beginning at 3:00 p.m.  
  • State Reporter, Shaylee Clinton, with her retiring addresses entitled “The Great Illusion will be during the 3rd General Session beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. 
  • State Treasurer, Taylor Hartke with her retiring addresses entitled “Moments Matter,” will be during the 4th General Session beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.   
  • State Vice President, Eliza Petry, with her retiring addresses entitled “Somebody’s Somebody.” will be during the 5th General Session beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. 
  • Finally, State President, Sophia Hortin, will wrap up the Convention with “Passion to Purpose” during the 6th General Session on Thursday, June 13,2 019, at 1:00 p.m.

Check out the Convention Agenda for a closer approximate time of their Retiring Addresses.  

BACK this year are stations for members to write “Goodbye Grams” to each of the majors! There will be a decorated box for each major, blank notes, and pens in the We Are FFA Room downstairs for anyone to write a message to any of the majors, whether it be retiring address feedback, a farewell note, or otherwise!
