Illinois College is a residential, private liberal arts college located in historic Jacksonville, Illinois, 85 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri, and 30 miles west of Springfield, the Illinois state capital. The Coordinator has primary responsibility for the development, implementation, and promotion of the new Agribusiness Concentration within the Business Administration Major at Illinois College. There are three essential elements of the work, approximately one-third time devoted to each. The first is to promote the Agribusiness program to prospective undergraduate students and assist Enrollment Management and Marketing in all related recruitment and program promotion activities. Second is to support, advise, and instruct current students, including arranging and supervising internships. Third is to serve as the public face of the Agribusiness program in the larger community, including liaising with agribusiness leaders, supporting the development of an Agribusiness Advisory Board (in coordination with Business faculty members), and, as needed, identifying and recruiting appropriate part-time instructors for specialized Agribusiness courses.

Essential Functions
The following list of duties is meant to be representative of the work performed in this position. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical extension of position responsibilities. 
● Work closely with Business faculty members to develop the Agribusiness program.
● Work closely with Enrollment Management and Marketing personnel to develop appropriate materials to inform prospective students about the Agribusiness program.
● Work closely with Admission personnel to respond to inquiries from prospective students and facilitate positive interactions with the program.
● Work with Advancement and Alumni personnel to liaise with alumni and friends of the College with expertise and interest in Agribusiness
● Be accountable for annual enrollment goals set by the College, collaborating with the Office of Admission to meet specified recruitment, retention and revenue goals.
● Serve as liaison between the College and businesses and professional organizations.
● Represent IC and the Agribusiness program both in the local community and wider region, cultivate strategic relationships, and develop opportunities for student internships.

Minimum Qualifications
● Master’s degree in appropriate field or extensive experience in the field
● Ability and desire to work with the public both in student recruitment and in developing partnerships with businesses and professional organizations
● Minimum of three to five years of relevant, progressively-responsible professional experience
● Some work experience in higher education
● Dynamic public speaker with excellent writing and interpersonal skills
● Excellent organizational and data management skills
● Ability to work independently, accurately, and reliably in a fast-paced professional
● Interculturally competent and able to work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds
● Able to develop and maintain collaborative relationships, engage in creative problem-solving, and extend enlightened hospitality when working with others

Preferred Qualifications
● Ability to teach one or two courses per academic year (appropriate Master’s degree required)
● College teaching experience
● Experience working with the public
● Knowledge of, and experience with, higher education institutions in Illinois
