1. Ag Sales Product Info

Product Info for the 2017 Ag Sales Career Development Event will mirror that of the 2017 national competition. More info can be found on (here). You must login to see the documents including product information.

Registration and further information regarding the Ag Sales event will be released at a later date.

2. IAVAT Membership

As a professional organization for teachers and supporters of agricultural education, it is obvious that nothing we do would be possible without our members. To those supporting agricultural education through membership in IAVAT, please note the following:

IAVAT policy states that all IAVAT membership must be paid by October 31 to remain in good standing with the organization. Dues must also be paid by this date to receive IFG credit for IAVAT membership. IAVAT Policies are available to view on the IAVAT website here.

Please use the following resources when submitting membership:

Dues Statement Letter - Found here on the IAVAT website under Downloads section.

Dues Structure - Found here on the IAVAT website under Downloads section.

IAVAT Student Branch - IAVAT Student Branch membership is available to any student enrolled in a community college or university with the intent to pursue a career in agricultural education. Dues are only $1/student/year. Student Branch members have typically received free lodging and registration for various conferences and events, so the $1 is extremely worthwhile to pay for any student who may be interested. IAVAT Student Branch membership is also due no later than October 31. Invoices will be sent directly to student branch members, but colleges/universities may opt to pay for all student branch members as a group. Advisors should contact John Edgar ( to discuss preferred method of payment for their student branch members. Student branch members should contact their advisor to determine how payments are being handled.

The Membership Resources section of the IAVAT website found here also contains information on the various membership types, dues package structure, and other membership resources.

If you have questions about membership, please use the form at the bottom of the Membership Resources page (here) or contact Lori Nelson -

Please be aware that invoices and membership questions are processed in the order they are received. During the busiest season of membership renewal, it may take up to a few days to respond to your request.

3. 212/360 Registration Reminder

As a reminder, the deadline to register for 212/360 conferences at Decatur this October 6 & 7 is tomorrow (Friday, September 8, 2017). There is still plenty of space for students to attend, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity for your students! Registration can be found in listserv here and further instructions regarding payment, housing reservations, waivers, and health forms can be found in listserv here.

*Please note, the credit card information you submit on the housing request form is only to guarantee your room reservations. Schools are more than welcome to bring a check to the conference to pay for the rooms, or can request a credit card authorization form from the hotel if submitting a credit card in someone else's name.

4. CDE Registration Reminder
