SIU Greenhand & Chapter Officer Leadership Conference REMINDER

Agriculture Teachers Meeting:  A meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Agriculture Sciences Building room 102.  Further details below.

Wardrobe Questions :  Greenhands can wear chapter t-shirts and similar clothing.  COLT participants are recommended to wear official dress.

Greenhand Workshop and Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT)

Date: Tuesday, September 19, 2017

Pre-Registration Deadline: Friday, September 15th

Pre-Registration: $5 per individual. Full Registration: $6 per individual

Registration and meal will begin at 4pm. Event will start promptly at 5pm.

This year's Greenhand Workshop will include workshops from all of your State FFA Officers, District 5 Section Presidents, Collegiate FFA , as well as a college expo.

This year's Chapter Officer Leadership Training will be led by former State FFA officers, CFFA officers, and past section officers. There is no limit to the number of officers from each school that can attend, but attendance will be limited to the first 150 participants to register.

Greenhand & COLT Workshop  Details

Location - SIU Student Center (1255 Lincoln Dr, Carbondale, IL 62901). From Highway 51, turn west into campus on Lincoln Drive. The Student Center will be the second building on your right. Registration will take place at the top of the escalators inside the far south entrance of the building.

Drop-off - As you arrive, please drop off all students at the south entrance of the Student Center. While you are parking, students can proceed up the escalators and into the auditorium for chapter photos. Once you arrive inside, you can find your chapter in the auditorium and proceed to registration and the meal.

Registration - Please make every attempt to drop off students no later than 4:30 pm. It will take at least 15 minutes for your group to get their chapter photo, register, and eat dinner before a 5pm start time in Ballroom D.

Parking - Parking for large busses will once again be held in the far south lot of the arena (Lot 56, see map attached). The Agbassadors from the College of Agriculture Science will be running a shuttle van to pick up bus drivers to bring back to the Student Center. Personal vehicles and school vans can park in the lot directly across the road from the Student Center (Lot13). If you are arriving after 4pm, these metered spaces do not require payment.

Teacher's meeting - This year's teacher's meeting will be held in the agriculture building at 5pm. Once you get your students registered, please pick up dinner and head to this meeting room for important information and updates for Agricultural Education in our region.
