School: Durand High School – New Program!

Position: Agriculture Instructor/ FFA Advisor

New Program - Durand High School, located in Section 1 in Winnebago County, has a full-time opening for an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor for the 2018-2019 school year.  This is a brand-new program and will replace the vacant Industrial Arts program.  Classes to be taught may include Ag Mechanics & Technology, Ag Construction & Technology, BSAA Plant & Animal Science, Environmental Science & Natural Resources, Introduction to the Ag Industry, and Ag Business Management and Sales (consumer education credit).  The actual classes to be taught will be based on the strengths of the successful candidate and student interest.  A technology lab equipped with a laser engraver, 3-D printers, and CNC wood carving machines will be a part of the new agriculture program.  Plans are in place for a land lab and FFA plot as well.  A very excited and supportive community awaits this new agriculture program.
