Invitational Floral Design CDE

March 22, 2018     4:30-6:30pm

Event Details:

*Students are to re-create a floral arrangement found in a painting.  For example:  A floral vase holding sunflowers with the likeliness of Van Gogh’s painting.

*Fresh or Artificial flowers

*Arrangements will be judged on color, use of space, mechanics, balance, and likeliness to painting.

*Students need to include an 8.5x11 color copy of the painting they are representing.  The name of the artist and painting needs to be labeled on painting.

*Designs must be completed before the event.  There will be no supplies or time at the event for completion.

*Designs should be no larger than 2’ by 2’.

*Designs must be completed by the floral student and not purchased or made by anyone else.

*Designs will be judged anonymously. Names will be out of view during judging.  Ribbons and awards will be provided.

*All designs will be photographed.  Students will take home arrangements the day of competition.

*Photographers may be present for the newspaper.

*$2 entry fee per design
