1.) Illinois FFA Social Media Challenge for FFA Week

National FFA week beings Sunday, February 18th and goes through Saturday, February, 25th. Illinois FFA will be celebrating with a social media challenge! Here is the schedule for the week: 

Sunday: SAE Sunday- Display your SAE and tell us what you've learned
Monday: Memorable Monday- Share your favorite FFA memory or award you have won 
Tuesday: Teacher Tuesday- Show your appreciation for your Ag teacher and FFA advisor
Wednesday: What's Up Wednesday- Let us know what your chapter is up to during FFA week using a photo or video
Thursday: Throwback Thursday- Post your first picture in your FFA Jacket 
Friday: Future Friday- Share your future career using a photo or video
Saturday: Supporter Saturday- Tell us about your biggest supporter

2.) Tractor Supply Grants for Growing- Application Due Wednesday

The National FFA Foundation and Tractor Supply Company (TSC) have launched the 2018 Grants for Growing Chapter Grant Program. Please encourage your FFA advisors to apply for funds! The application closes Feb. 14. >> Apply Now.  

Only FFA chapters in states where TSC retailers are located may apply. Members may not apply. Only the FFA advisor may apply. >> Click here to locate your nearest TSC store.  

Every dollar raised in a state during the fundraising period for Grants for Growing stays in that state, and 10 percent of the funds raised go to the state FFA foundation. Do you know an FFA member that is interested in photography? Have them submit entries to the first ever Illinois FFA Photo Contest! 4.) New Century Farmer Conference

Are you an FFA member with experience in production agriculture and plan on returning to a career in production agriculture through work experience, training or other activities? Or maybe you’re a former FFA member currently attending a two- or four-year college or university and are between the ages of 18-24.

We are looking for you! Attend New Century Farmer, an all-expense-paid conference packed with interactive workshops, field tours, visioning design, networking opportunities and financial planning.
