To All District 2 (Northeast Illinois) Teachers and Administration:

Hello Ag Teachers, Principals, and Superintendents!

I wanted to give everyone a brief update on the FY19 Three Circles (FFA & SAE) Grant to assist with your agriculture teacher's extended contract grant.

The initial application (intent to participate) for the FY19 Three Circle (FFA & SAE) Grant is now open to submit agriculture teacher names, salary data, etc.

  1. In order to have a July 1, 2018, start date for ag teacher hours, an initial application must be submitted by Saturday, June 30, 2018. After ISBE review of the initial application, the budget application in IWAS will be available and must be submitted no later than July 31, 2018.   Notification will be sent near the week of July 9th.
  2. Initial application submitted after June 30, 2018, will have the effective date as of the date the budget was submitted.   August 31, 2018, will remain the last day to submit the FY19 initial application.
  3.  School districts with an ag teacher vacancy that will not have a teacher in place by June 30th should submit a best estimate with a note that the teacher vacancy will be filled by August.
  4. A question mark icon feature can be clicked which will bring up additional information/guidance on that particular question.
