1. FY19 Ag Incentive Funding Grant (IFG)


Hello District 2 Ag Teachers and Principals!

1.  FY19 Ag Grant application is due by 11 pm online on Saturday, June 30, 2018.   Please do not wait until the last day and minute to start the process.  Please also do not finalize until all of your quality indicators are marked.   Each quality indicator (X value) was near $100 this past year.  FFA Convention and IAVAT Conference data has been entered.  If you are in need of the FY18 application to use as a guide, please let me know and I will email to you.

2. 3 Circles (FFA & SAE) Grant


If your school wishes to complete the Ag Education 3 Circles (FFA & SAE) Grant, your initial application is due by 11:00 PM on June 30:

  1. In order to have a July 1, 2018, start date for ag teacher hours, an initial application must be submitted by Saturday, June 30, 2018. After ISBE review of the initial application, the budget application in IWAS will be available and must be submitted no later than July 31, 2018.   Notification will be sent near the week of July 9th.
  2. Initial application submitted after June 30, 2018, will have the effective date as of the date the budget was submitted.   August 31, 2018, will remain the last day to submit the FY19 initial application.
  3.  School districts with an ag teacher vacancy that will not have a teacher in place by June 30th should submit a best estimate with a note that the teacher vacancy will be filled by August.

Other items to submit for IFG Credit


3.  FY18 (current) Ag Grant and 3 Circle Grant Funding  Be sure to spend according to your budget by June 30th even if the school district has not received the actual dollars electronically.   Invoices should show June 30, 2018, or earlier. Any unspent funds must be sent back to the state. 

4.  Annual Reports of your program can be emailed to me for credit BEFORE you finalize. This is worth 3 points, and there is a template in the Teachers Toolbox or I can email you samples.

5.  Ag Program/FFA Chapter Websites - If you have a website for your ag program and/or FFA chapter, but it's not indicated on your IFG application, please let me know and I will update our database.  Facebook pages count if they are public!
