Sent to District 2 Ag Teachers

I hope your week is going well! I wanted to send a quick note about three different grants that I've had a lot of questions about.

1- Ag Ed 3 Circles Grant:

Your budget must be submitted by the end of the day on Saturday 9/30 in IWAS. If you need help please contact me. Please check with your administration to make sure this has been completed (I do not have access to a list of those who have completed)

2- Ag Incentive Funding Grant:

IFG grant budgets have not yet been loaded into IWAS. They will probably be made available to you sometime after the first of October. ISBE will send a list-serve announcing when it is posted to IWAS. You'll probably have 30 days following that to complete your budget.

3- CASE grants:

Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ Grant Application Available
Corteva Agriscience (TM), Agriculture Division of DowDuPont (TM), is generously sponsoring CASE Implementation Grants for agriculture teachers and university programs offering pre-service CASE certifications. The application is available at this link and the deadline to apply is October 31, 2018.

This is the sixth year in a row this program, formally known as the DuPont Pioneer CASE Implementation Grant Program, has offered grants to public and private schools and universities to assist with the implementation of CASE. Teachers may apply for grants up to $5,000 for implementing the CASE program in their schools, including teacher professional development at a CASE Institute, and purchasing classroom equipment and resources. Pre-service programs may apply for up to $7,500 for hosting a CASE Institute for pre-service teachers. Grant awardees will be announced in December. For questions regarding this opportunity contact CASE Operations/Outreach Director, Miranda Chaplin.

4. SAE grants for students:

Thanks to great sponsors, the National FFA Organization is pleased to announce that 148 SAE Grants of $1,000 each are available this year to help current FFA members in grades 7-12 start or expand an SAE. Some grants provide an additional $1,000 to the FFA chapter of the recipient. The online application is available through the SAE Grants webpage, or anywhere you can access the online Application Center. CLICK HERE for a complete step-by-step guide to accessing the SAE Grant application. CLICK HERE for the SAE Grants flyer. All applications must be submitted online before 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Nov 15, 2018.
