New FCAE District 5 Program Advisor

Monday, December 31, 2018

*Sent to all contacts.

I am pleased to announce Casey Bolin as the new Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education(FCAE) District 5 Program Advisor beginning July 1, 2019.

Currently in her 8th year as the agriculture teacher at the Sandoval High School in Section 21, Casey began her teaching career in August, 2011. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in agricultural education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in December, 2010, and her Master's Degree in May, 2013.   Welcome Casey to the Illinois Agricultural Education state leadership team.

Casey started and expanded a very successful agricultural education program at the Sandoval High School where nearly all 120 students in the high school are taking agriculture courses.  She formed partnerships to coordinate the Friends of Sandoval FFA organization consisting of 50+ active community members and completed grant applications receiving $50,000+ to fund additional labs for the program including a greenhouse, poultry facililty, mechanics lab, and raised garden beds. Casey serves as IAVAT Section 21 Chair and holds leadership positions at her school.

A very talented and experienced group of individuals applied for the program advisor position.

The new location for the FCAE District 5 office will probably be in Marion County and the Salem area.
