2. Career and Leadership Development Events Open Committee Position Announced

The National FFA Organization is seeking applicants to serve on the following national award and competitive event committees. These committees work under the direction of the National FFA staff member and the committee superintendent to assist in the development and implementation of competitive events and award programs. Committee member positions require moderate travel to the National FFA Convention & Expo and other planning/judging activities. Applicants may have current or past experience in agricultural education and FFA unless otherwise stated. Committee members can include state staff, agricultural education teachers, post-secondary agricultural instructors/professors/staff and or business and industry representatives. National FFA staff will consult with state staff on applicants under consideration. Interested applicants from the appropriate FFA Regions (see attached map) should see the attached position description and submit a resume with a letter of interest to the appropriate staff member via email or mail by Friday, April 17.

Career and Leadership Development Event Core Committee Positions

Core committee members serve 3-year terms. They can serve three terms for a maximum of nine years total as a core committee member. Core committee members need to be current on industry trends and in direct contact within the career pathway of the CDE/LDE being considered. Core committee members sign a volunteer agreement form before engaging in committee work. The committees will have approximately have six to 12 members. When selecting committee members regional balance and representation is considered.

3.  National Chapter Award Judging Webinar - A MUST for NCA Judges

Join us on Monday, April 8, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. for a National Chapter Award (NCA) Judges webinar.  This webinar is a MUST for all those who will be judging both Round 1 and Round 2 National Chapter Award applications.  FFA Board member and experienced agriculture teacher and expert judge, Jeff Maierhofer will be leading the webinar and will address your questions and walk you through the process of judging National Chapter Award applications.
